Planned modernisation
Modernisation for passengers and the city

Václav Havel Airport Prague is undergoing gradual modernisation, which is divided into several phases with the aim of ensuring greater passenger comfort, better accessibility, and more environmentally friendly operations. The modernisation includes the expansion of terminal capacities, primarily the completion of Terminals 1 and 2, where new check-in areas, innovative check-in methods, and more commercial zones for passengers will be created. New technologies will speed up and simplify the check-in process. The modernisation also includes improving the airport's connection to the city, including a trolleybus connection and a planned rail link, which will provide a direct and comfortable connection to the center of Prague. The emphasis is on sustainability – the airport is being modernised so that it can operate with a minimal carbon footprint while attracting high-quality visitors who contribute to the development of the Czech economy.
